Review: I am going to keep this one short because I obviously forgot to review this when I first read it so I don't have much to say about it right now. Read my reviews of the other books in the In Death series by J. D. Robb to know my feelings about this book. Spoiler! They are positive in the frenzied way of a junkie hopped up on crack.
Divided in Death follows Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the Homicide Department of the NYPSD some 40 years in the future as she investigates a double homicide of an eccentric and egocentric artist and the woman he was cheating on his wife with. The betrayed wife who caught her husband and best friend in bed together seems to be the perfect suspect in the case. But Eve knows better than to trust appearances. When it is revealed that the wife, Reva Ewing, also happens to be the daughter of Roarke's trusted assistant it makes things even more complicated. Add in some spies trying to gain information about the remedy to the worst techno-terrorist attack that Roarke's business was trying to get at with the help for Reva and you have the recipe of the a great romp.
I remember being absolutely engrossed by the book. I couldn't wait to get to the end. The series is set several years in the future which gives Robb the liberty to invent technology that does not exist. And God does that make for a good read!
